The Bread and Breath of Life

Bible + Prayer + Fellowship + Worship = Spiritual Health

Spiritual Health + Time = Growth enabling ministry

The basics of the Christian life are prayer, Bible, worship, and fellowship.

A senior Christian (spiritual maturity) said on a Tuesday night in the early months of 2023 that there was a lot to learn by studying Jesus. I thought she was right then, and I continue to discover lessons to be learned in Jesus’ life. For example, Jesus prayer.

Prayer

(Mar 1:35 NKJV)  Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

Read the Bible

(Luk 4:16 NKJV)  So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

Learn the Bible

(Mat 5:21 NKJV)  “You have heard that it was said to an older generation, ‘Do not murder,’ and ‘whoever murders will be subjected to judgment.’

Worship Instruction

(Joh 4:23 NKJV)  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. Many purposes are recorded in the New Testament for gathering together in the name of Christ. These involve sharing in material goods as well as other types of needs. Praying together, singing together, praising together. We get to learn from people who are not part of our immediate, close group.

Fellowship

(Luk 2:46 NKJV)  Now so it was that after three days, they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. Because these are fundamentals of spiritual life, there is a growing need for cross-over content supporting the core purpose of launching this website. articles are being written that span various challenges in the faith. This includes Confliction and Silence. Proper management of these areas dispels many problems.

You may have read on the website, “Above all else, respect God.” Also, there are many places where love is mentioned, yes, in part commitment, but without the emotion, a spiritual checkup is needed.

Because we believe the following verse:

(2Co 5:5 NKJV)  Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

Based on the content above, we have the following statement of victory.

(Rom 8:37 NKJV)  Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Sometimes, when there is an outstanding verse, it is easy to miss key verses near it. So, out of sequence, we have the premise.

(Rom 8:32 NKJV)  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

With the stated help, we have to live victoriously that we know what the following should be our testimony. Specifically, we have experienced growth in these areas.

(Gal 5:22-25 NKJV)  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23)  gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law …. (25)  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

If these are merely statements of belief, then we have an opportunity to grow. If God can raise the dead, He can make a difference in our lives.

(1Co 15:16-19 NKJV)  For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. (17)  And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! (18)  Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. (19)  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

I think God works that way. Do you?

Various articles intended for Conflicted or Distant were starting to have much-repeated content. The majority was on Bible interpretation and prayer. The need for a BnB section was apparent.

Bible Versions

A goal for site content is to be independent of the Bible version. This is the reason many articles contain quotes from several versions. The literal interpretation of a verse may conflict with some church denomination’s teachings. If we know that a concept being promoted in an article or blog post conflicts with any mainstream church, we try to use the version of the Bible that the denomination prefers. Exceptions will exist for various reasons. See the Bible interpretation series (currently being written or edited) in the BnB section.
